Picnic All Year Round

Who doesn't love a picnic? Packing some good food into a basket, or just picking up some sandwiches, and eating outside with friends is a great way to spend a spring or summer afternoon. But just because the temperature is dropping doesn't mean that this great pastime has to go into hibernation. Have an indoor picnic! Make a platter of your favorite goodies, spread a blanket or a rug, turn on some music, and sit down. Sounds silly, but it is a really fun and easy way to brighten up a dreary day. It feels relaxed, and festive. Kids will especially love it, but it is fun to do at any age. Also, you don't have to worry about bugs or keeping food cold. My perfect picnic includes at least three types of cheeses, sliced bread and crackers, salami, hummus, veggie crudites like sliced bell peppers and celery, and something sweet to eat at the end.

Of course, if the weather is nice enough, having a traditional outdoor picnic is always fun too.

And that's your daily good thing!
