Find a Furry Friend

Spend some quality time with an animal. Pay extra attention to your own pet for an afternoon, or ask to walk a friend's dog, or even go to the pet store and play with the animals there. Animals are often used in therapy and to help lift people's spirits. They can provide a sense of well being, and can usually be counted on to make you smile. And if you are normally a dog lover, try petting a cat for an afternoon. I used to be a dogs only kind of girl until my mom found a two week old feral kitten on the side of the road and brought him home. I had no idea that cats could be so entertaining, or so affectionate. He is now one of my favorite companions (left is a picture of us on Halloween). Cat people, same goes to you, give a puppy a try. You'll be amazed at how they offer unconditional love. Maybe you love horses. Spend an afternoon riding and taking care of one of those beautiful creatures and you can't help but be happy. And the animals will be happy to have some extra attention too. Check out this article about animals and the positive impact they have on humans-

So pet a pup or cuddle a kitten, either way its bound to make you smile.

And that's your daily good thing!

Sometimes my cat thinks he is a tiger, but then sometimes he like to stop and smell the flowers.
I've also included a picture of two playful pups and a pig I stumbled upon while hiking in Peru. And a picture of my best friend's dog, who just happens to be the most amazing, sweetest dog ever.
